Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has issued a stern warning to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state against aligning with external political groups or coalitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Owerri during the inauguration of the Imo State chapter of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement, Uzodimma firmly declared, “There is no rainbow coalition in Imo State”. He reinforced that the APC remains the sole recognized political vehicle in the state for delivering electoral success across all levels.
The event marked the official rollout of the movement’s mobilization strategy aimed at securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. As part of the initiative, campaign vehicles were distributed to coordinators to facilitate direct grassroots engagement across households and marketplaces. However, Governor Uzodimma cautioned beneficiaries that any member caught using party-provided resources or campaign structures to promote interests outside the APC would face immediate sanctions, including the retrieval of their allocated vehicles.
Uzodimma reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s continuation in office, citing ongoing economic and structural reforms as essential foundations for national growth. He charged the movement’s officers to remain loyal, focused, and diligent in communicating the federal government’s achievements to the electorate, ensuring that Imo State delivers organic, decisive votes for the ruling party in 2027.
